Reporting to the WHS Coordinator CM Vic, the Health and Safety Officer collaborates and partners with the Site Managers to develop and implement Health and Safety systems and strategies that enables a positive safety culture to keep our people safe, healthy and well.The role is responsible for performing the delivery of diverse and contemporary safety approaches and practices within the construction materials business segment, at various locations. This is a hands-on role, in a fast-moving work environment and you will be promoting and supporting a strong health, safety and environment culture across our workforce. The Health and Safety Officer is a permanent, full-time position based at Deer Park, Vic. Key Responsibilities: Perform site safety inspections, hazard identifications and risk assessments, implementing corrective actionsInvestigate injuries and incidents and provide corrective action recommendationsMaintain and review safety documentation and systems, including development of SWMSReport on health and safety awareness, issues, and statisticsSupport compliance with legislation, MAAS policies and standards and the safety management systemAssist with employee inductions and training, including educating workforce on their rights and obligations under relevant safety legislationAssist with internal audits and support action plansAssist with Workcover Claims Management and Return to Work Coordination when required for specific operations Knowledge and Experience required: Certificate IV in Work Heath & Safety / OHSGood understanding of Work Health and Safety LegislationWorking knowledge of acts, regulations codes of practice and standardsOperating knowledge of Heavy Plant & EquipmentExperience in Health and Safety preferably in a blue collar industryIntermediate computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs and systems e.g. SharePointWell-organised and detailed oriented professional with strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to be self-directed.Excellent attention to detail a mustMust be self-motivated with the ability to handle, organise and prioritise multiple tasks and able to perform under pressure to meet deadlines, where required         Excellent written and verbal communicationListens, understands, and adapts to an audience and can communicate clearly and persuasivelyProven ability to build effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across all business units and on major projectsTakes ownership of outcomes, and can balance accuracy with timeliness Benefits and Perks:An opportunity to make an impact with a growing and forward-thinking ASX company.A competitive salary reflective of your skills and experience.We offer an exciting Employee Benefits Platform that provides access to a range of exclusive discounts on banking, retail and healthcare, as well as novated leasing options.Access to a comprehensive health and wellbeing program.We recognise and reward employees through our monthly Value Awards Program.Continued Professional Development and training.Flexible work options.Opportunities for professional growth within Maas and the broader Group. For further information about this role, please contact hr@maasgroup.com.au   AUD Deer Park 3023
