Macquarie Geotechnical is a Geotechnical Consulting / Drilling & Construction Materials Testing company working on both civil and mining infrastructure projects throughout Australia. We maintain a fleet of modern drill rigs, support equipment and tools that are at the forefront of the industry.
Due to increasing demand for our services, we are currently seeking suitable Sydney based candidates for an immediate start in the following position:

The position is based on full-time employment for the successful candidate, following positive completion of a 6-month probation period.
Responsibilities will incorporate assisting the Leadership team with:
- Geotechnical Investigations consisting of solid and hollow flight augering, Rotary Mud and Air Drilling, Sonic Drilling as well as Wireline and conventional Diamond Coring.
- General Maintenances and daily completion of reports and safety documents respectively.
- Operating Drills and Equipment safely, in line with localised legislation, regulations and site and company policies and procedures.
- Reporting effectively and efficiently through the appropriate chain of command and channels on a day-to-day basis.
- Provide training and guidance to drill teams.
- Problem solving non-routine downhole and surface issues as they arise.
Minimum requirements for the Geotechnical Driller position are:
- Previous experience as a Driller.
- Ability to work away when required.
- Ability to obtain a minimum HR truck license.
- Cert III in Drilling or industry equivalent (desirable â Enrolment onto Cert III on commencement).
- NSW Class 1 or greater, water well license (desirable â Enrolment onto Cert III on commencement).
- Current First Aid Certificate (preferred but not essential).
- NSW White Card.
- Current and valid RISI (preferred but not essential).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical inclusive of D&A test.
- Ability to obtain a Police Clearance upon request.

Salary Range $70,000 - $75,000
