We are looking for team players who are keen to contribute to the continued growth of the business.If you are an experienced General Manager with extensive experience in Quarry/Earthworks Operations are keen to succeed and align with the values of our group, we would love to hear from you.A little about us:Established in 2002 with one Bobcat and a tipper truck by Wes Maas, Maas has been built on reputation and today encompasses expanding construction materials, civil construction and hire, manufacturing and real estate divisions.With a fleet of over 450 machines and a diverse and experienced team of 1,700 plus employees, Maas ensures the highest standards of delivery are met on time, every time.MGH’s continued growth is underpinned by a substantial, committed delivery pipeline of projects and further investment strategies in infrastructure by the public sector. Overview of the role: The General Manager of Wade Quarry Services will oversee all earthworks and quarrying activities to ensure the strategic growth plan and operating/capital budgets are effectively utilized and a satisfactory return is provided for the business.You will be working with the Executive Managers and other senior team members to set long range objectives, formulate plans to achieve these objectives and monitor performance to ensure these objectives are achieved for the overall business.Provide input and support to the CCH Civil General Manager, CCH Sales and operations and the team, bringing insights to inform the Company’s strategy throughout the Quarrying sector. Duties include but not limited to: Lead and manage the compliance requirements that exist in the business (Project software systems, process, policy requirements)Stakeholder management and influencing skills relating to clients and staff.Lead and manage financial, commercial, and strategic Operations.Develop a high performing team that has at its core the value of respect and teamwork and the will to win and be successful.Grow revenue in designated sectors and product ranges to the agreed targets with a focus on MGH Business unit pull through.Instill a culture of continuous business improvement within your team.Quality assurance of quotes and plans prior to sending to clients.Management of Site teams, Supervisors, suppliers, and plant hire.Daily, monthly review and monitoring of activity revenue and costs.Accountable for all safety requirements for the company, lead and drive safety culture making all staff accountable for their safety performance.Manage clients’ expectations and developing relationships with key client contacts focusing on growth and opportunities.Preparing reports and maintaining accurate records including Monthly sales forecasting and project pipeline.Building relationships with clients and developing Joint venture opportunities for large scale projects. To be successful in this role you will need: 10+ years’ experience in a similar role.CERT IV in Surface extraction or similar.Experience in quarrying operations.Demonstrated recent senior management experience in a similar role.Strong focus on profitability and company expansion in an active market. Attention to detail, commitment to quality and results driven.You will be a self-starter and motivated by establishing contacts.Demonstrated professional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and CRM’s.Have a collaborative style that will build strong relationships.Hands on and dynamic individual.Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or similar technical field will be well regarded but not essential. Why work for us:Fully maintained Vehicle to be provided for the role.Negotiable salary.We have an exciting Employee Benefits platform offering exclusive discounts on retail and healthcare as well as discounted gym memberships and novated leasing options.Access to Commonwealth Bank Workplace banking benefits.We engage and reward our employees with a monthly values awards program and recognition in our newsletter.. For further enquiries you may contact hr@maasgroup.com.au AUD Melbourne 3004
