Truck Driver

Schwarz is seeking experienced and safety-focused Truck Drivers to support project delivery by operating tippers, water carts, and prime movers. Based out of Gracemere and working across a variety of sites, you'll play a key role in keeping our worksites moving by transporting materials and equipment efficiently and safely.

As our Truck Driver, you will play an essential role in the delivery of our civil construction projects by safely operating heavy vehicles such as tipper trucks, water carts, and prime movers. This role is key to the efficient movement of materials and equipment across sites, ensuring work progresses on schedule. With a strong focus on safety, reliability, and compliance, Truck Drivers contribute directly to operational success and the smooth execution of day-to-day site activities.

What You’ll Do

• Operate heavy vehicles including tipper trucks, water carts, and prime movers
• Carry out pre-start inspections and follow safety procedures
• Transport materials and equipment to and from sites
• Ensure loads are secured and comply with all load restraint regulations
• Complete logbooks, delivery paperwork, and report defects
• Liaise with supervisors and team members to support smooth site operations

 What We’re Looking For

• Demonstrated experience operating heavy vehicles in a civil, mining, or construction environment.
• Experience with water carts, tippers, and general haulage is highly regarded. Current HR / HC / MC Licence (dependent on vehicle). 
• General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Strong understanding of HVNL, NHVR regulations, and fatigue management. 
• Practical knowledge of safe load restraint practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently in remote site environments.
