Astley's Plumbing and Hardware has a unique opportunity for a Trade Representative to join their team. The Trades Representative will work directly with the sales team and other members of the building segment. Including Astley's and Plasta Masta.
Responsibilities
- Serving customers, selling products and meeting customer needs
- Serving existing accounts, obtaining orders, and establishing new accounts
- Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature
- Liaising with the Astley's branch daily to organise deliveries
- Participate and lead sales meetings and on-site training
- Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans and monthly/annual territory analysis.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules and merchandising techniques
- Recommend changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management. Assisting with customer queries and provide solutions quickly.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

- Possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
- Knowledge in hardware and plumbing advantageous
- Proficient in Microsoft suite, excel and PowerPoint
The Trade Representative role is a fulltime position based in the Dubbo Astley's office. The role is a regional travelling and representative role, visiting customers and cold calling on new business to widen and strengthen the Astley's brand from Dubbo and beyond.
