Cleary Bros is currently seeing an experienced Parts Interpreter to join our dynamic, successful team based at Albion Park, NSW
The Spare Parts / Storeperson is responsible for procuring parts for internal repairs, assist and procure parts for project sites as needed. Coordinating pickups and deliveries, manage inventory, purchasing and invoicing. This role will cover Plant, Trucks and LV's. The role will work closely with workshop managers, mechanics and admin staff.
Responsibilities:
- Continuous Improvement for Safe Work practices.
- Participation in all toolbox meetings.
- Work within workshop rules and regulations always.
- Liaising with direct the Operations Manager, workshop managers and supervisors daily.
- Purchasing parts and consumables to supply workshops and techs in the field.
- Allocate parts and consumables to correct assets through implementation of a purchase order system.
- Work to tight schedules whilst maintaining the highest standards.
- Adopt and continue with Lean practices to ensure quality and cost efficiency with all parts and consumables. Reduce waste through incorrect parts and implement a strict return for credit policy for unused items.
- Plan and maintain stock levels for critical parts and consumables ensuring workshop repair needs are met daily.
- Maintain an organised and clean parts and warehouse environment with regular stock take on parts.
- Parts pickup from local suppliers and arrange freight as needed for buy ins.
- Challenge yourself with a mindset of best practice and continuous improvement.
- Maintaining professional and clear communication with all company staff.
Knowledge, experience and attributes sought:
- Strong commitment to Work Health and Safety
- Current drivers' license.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Strong Parts interpreting skills with experience in Heavy Machinery such as Plant and Trucks preferred but not essential.
- Sound knowledge of Heavy Machinery and Plant preferred but not essential.
- Outstanding work ethic and commitment to getting the job done.
- A person who is approachable and willing to help
- A team player who is action focused and result-oriented, who quickly comes up to speed on machine requirements.
- Ability to problem solve and engage their peers to achieve best possible outcomes.
- Strong communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with a range of individuals.
- Experience in working in a high-performance team.
- Ability to work flexible hours (some overtime may be required)
