Maas Manufacturing is an engineering, manufacture and retailer of industrial machinery serving the above and below-ground markets. Comet Equipment supplies above-ground equipment, while Jacon Equipment serves the rock mining and civil tunnelling sector. 

 

About the role:

As the Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for reviewing quality, prices and ensuring Economic order quaintly levels (EOQ).

As the Purchasing Officer you will be responsible for buying products that are essential for day-to-day business operations.

 Your responsibilities will include evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts according to the delegation of authority, and preparing reports (orders and costs). You will need to have a knowledge and the ability to marker research and have solid analytical skills to make sure you are identifying the most profitable offers.

Responsibilities include:

• Supplier onboarding
•  Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
• Supplier KPI monitoring
• Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
• Create, expedite purchase orders and ensure timely delivery
• Review ensure quality of purchased products does not change and liaise with engineering for confirmation and support
• Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
• Work with suppliers on lead time reductions and risk management of the products purchased
