JLE Group is seeking an experienced Project Site Engineer to join our Manufacturing & Hire division. Based in Launceston, Tasmania, this role offers the opportunity to support quality standards across project installation of HV electrical equipment on major project delivery.
About the role
The Site Engineer supports the Project Manager and project team in delivering project outcomes, meeting contractual requirements, and maximising project profitability. The role involves carrying out responsibilities in accordance with the company’s values and operational procedures, including adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:

Support Project & Site Management: Assist with project coordination and subcontractor management including onboarding & compliance, supporting on-time completion and quality adherence.

Carry out assigned project tasks within the defined scope of work, ensuring alignment with budget, contract requirements, quality standards, and client expectations.
- Plan and organise resources and tasks systematically for allocated work areas while monitoring site progress and ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Support procurement activities and contribute to the coordination and management of suppliers and subcontractors.

Identify project issues, investigate root causes, and contribute to practical solutions while understanding how project components influence overall outcomes.

Maintaining all relevant project document control and records as well as assessment of risks and hazards involved in tasks, and methods to manage the hazards in order to prevent incidents, injury and damage
- Work collaboratively within the team to maintain a safe, inclusive, and compliant work environment, supporting HSEQ standards, team learning, and continuous personal development
