About the Company:
We’re seeking an experienced Insurance Assessor to join our growing team in Maaa Insurance business unit, based in Central West NSW. In this field-based role you’ll assess damage to insured properties, compile clear assessment reports, and prepare accurate repair scopes and budgetsâhelping insurers and customers progress claims with confidence.
About the role:
· Conduct on-site inspections within agreed timeframes to determine scope and repair methodology.
· Produce high-quality assessment reports, scope of works and repair budgets using current market trade rates.
· Liaise with policyholders, insurers, brokers, trades and internal stakeholders to drive timely outcomes.
· Support variations and additional scopes to keep repairs progressing through to completion.
· Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing knowledge and providing peer feedback when required.
What we are looking for:
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in the building and construction industry.
· Insurance building assessment experience (preferred).
· Strong written communication skills with attention to detail and the ability to explain technical information clearly.
· Sound understanding of WHS requirements and relevant Australian Standards.
· Confidence using technology and estimating/reporting systems.
· Current unrestricted driver’s license and willingness to travel across the region as required.
