Regional Group Australia are currently seeking an experienced Fixed Plant / Crusher Fitter to join our Repairs team in Gracemere, Queensland to provide maintenance, repair, and reliability of fixed and mobile plant within the quarry environment.
The position involves carrying out scheduled maintenance, breakdown repairs, and preventative maintenance activities across quarry assets. The Crusher Fitter will work to minimise downtime, identify potential issues before they impact operations, and maintain plant equipment to a high standard.
Occasional travel and overnight stays may be required to support maintenance and repair activities at various quarry locations throughout Queensland.

Key responsibilities:
Thoroughly diagnose and repair faults
Service and maintain equipment such as Plant and Crushers to the highest standards.
Work to tight schedules whilst maintaining the highest standards.
Ownership of major repairs, working efficiently while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Maintaining company tools and equipment.
Coordinating with suppliers sourcing parts on quality and best price.
Assist with planning and maintaining service schedules.
Adopt and continue with Lean practices to ensure quality and cost efficiency with all repairs and maintenance.
Report incidents and near misses
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Current drivers licence.
- Trade qualified with a minimum of 2 years post-trade experience.
- Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy mobile plant, crushing and screening equipment.
- Experience with Terex, Finlay, Powerscreen, McCloskey, Metso, Sandvik or similar crushing and screening equipment.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, emissions systems, driveline components, braking systems, and suspension.
- Auto-electrical diagnostic and repair skills.
- Competent in the use of computers, electronic service information, and diagnostic tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and achieving results.
