Fitter

Economix are currently seeking an experienced Fitter to join our team in Deer Park, Vic. This is a full-time position that will be responsible for the ongoing repairs and maintenance on our plant and assets- with genuine opportunities to learn, upskill and expand your knowledge in this role.

Key requirements:

• Carrying out mechanic repairs and preventative maintenance of vehicles, plant and mobile equipment
• Ownership of major repairs, working efficiently while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Work to tight schedules whilst maintaining high quality standards.
• Coordinating with suppliers sourcing parts on quality and best price
• Maintaining professional and clear communication with all staff
• Liaising with Economix supervisors regularly

Knowledge and experience required:

• Current drivers’ license
• Diesel/Automotive/Mechanical trade qualification
• 2 years + experience in a repair and maintenance role
• Sound knowledge of diesel engines and emissions
• Sound knowledge of drivetrain, brakes and suspension
• White card
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Full working rights within Australia
