This is a full-time position. The successful candidate will report directly to the General ManagerThe Drilling Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all drilling operations to ensure safe, efficient, and effective execution of drilling activities. This role involves managing drilling teams, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and maintaining the proper functioning of drilling equipment. The successful applicant will play a key role in optimizing drilling operations while ensuring a safe and productive work environment. Duties of the role include, but not limited to Oversee Drilling Operations – Ensure all drilling activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with industry standardsManage Drilling Teams – Lead, supervise, and provide guidance to drilling teams, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped. Ensure Compliance – Ensure all drilling operations comply with legal, regulatory, and company safety standards.  Monitor Drilling Performance – Track the progress and performance of drilling activities, ensuring targets and deadlines are met.  Maintain Equipment – Oversee the maintenance and functionality of drilling equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operation.  Report to Senior Management – Provide regular updates to senior management regarding drilling performance, issues, and progress.  Implement Safety Protocols – Ensure that safety and emergency procedures are followed at all times and that a culture of safety is maintained.  Improve Operational efficiency – Identify opportunities for improving drilling operations and implement best practices to enhance productivity.  Maintain Accurate Records – Ensure accurate documenta on of drilling activities, maintenance records, and operational performance.  Collaborate with other departments – work closely with other departments, including logistics and engineering, to ensure smooth drilling operations.The following attributes and abilities would be considered in high regard for the role: A positive can-do attitude. Honest, trustworthy, and dependable personality is highly regarded. Knowledge and experience in working with sonic drilling rigs highly regarded. Understanding of hydraulic systems. High level of problem-solving skills. Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team-based environment. Experience in fleet maintenance systems is highly regarded. Great interpersonal skills. Great time management and ability to priorities tasks. Strong OHS awareness and work ethic.  Minimum requirements for the position are: Minimum HR Truck Licence (preferred but not essential) NSW White Card (Construction Induction Card)  Currency of Current First Aid Certificate (preferred but not essential) Current and valid RISI (preferred but not essential) Ability to pass a pre-employment medical inclusive of D&A test Ability to obtain a Police Clearance upon request  In return Macquarie Geotechnical will offer you: Competitive rates  Work for a growing business with clear opportunity pathways Ability to offer work on a wide range of assets across the company fleet Long term stable employment Opportunities to work in both infrastructure and mining sectors  AUD Lidcombe 2141
