Diesel Fitter

Austek Asphalt Services is seeking a skilled Diesel Fitter to join our team in Yatala, QLD. As a Diesel Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of heavy machinery and equipment, ensuring they are kept in optimal working condition. This is a full-time role, offering competitive remuneration and excellent benefits.

What you'll be doing

• Performing regular servicing and maintenance on a variety of diesel-powered equipment, including pavers, rollers, loaders, and trucks
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with machinery, and carrying out the necessary repairs
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all work performed
• Collaborating with the wider team to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the company's equipment
• Adhering to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification in Diesel Fitting,
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Diesel Fitter, preferably in the construction or Asphalt industry
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues
• Proficient in the use of a wide range of tools and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong communication and customer service skills
