Counter Sales Consultant

Astley's Plumbing and Hardware are currently looking for a hardworking full time team player to join our busy trade team. While previous trade knowledge is advantageous; we ensure we provide plenty of on the job and product knowledge training.

As a Counter Sales Consultant, you will be the face of the business dealing directly with trade customers, assisting with sales, stock replenishment, and developing a strong sales standard within the business.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide great service and advise customers on hardware products and services.
• Build relationships with customers and be able to identify their needs.
• Manage stock levels, minimise shrinkage and stock loss.
• Maintain correct stock tickets.
• Perform stock refill.

Requires skills and attributes:

• Strong understanding of WHS requirements
• Customer Service background
• Knowledge of trade products ideal, but not required. 
• Strong interpersonal skills and able to work within a team.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment medical (including drug & alcohol testing)
