Cabinet Maker - Apprenticeship

Astley’s are currently looking for a motivated and reliable First-Year Apprentice Cabinet Maker with a strong work ethic to grow with our friendly and collaborative team. 

This is a full-time position and an opportunity for a long-term engagement within the Astleys team and the broader Maas Group for the right applicant. We pride ourselves on quality finishes and providing a service that exceeds our customer's expectations.

Role and responsibilities:

• Learning to construct and install a variety of custom cabinets and joinery through a variety of factory-based and on-site projects
• With a range of projects from residential to commercial to industrial
• Use of a wide range of hand tools , power tools and multi-million-dollar state of the art joinery equipment
• Learning a wide range of unique skills for high end joinery
• Including manufacturing of components , Cutting , shaping , building using all types of materials
• Examining designs, drafts and a range of plans to determine specifications
• Deliver and install completed products to site
• Some out-of-town travel for work and tafe

Key requirements:

• Physically fit, self-disciplined and have attention to detail
• Reliable, resilient, motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Be able to be a part of something dynamic joining a team which is hard working but a lot of fun
• Current drivers’ licence 
• White Card
