Asphalt Crew Member

Austek Roads (Victoria) is looking for Asphalt Crew Members to join our dynamic team based in Pakenham. We deliver high-quality asphalt surfacing, patching, and civil projects, with a strong reputation for reliability, performance, and customer service.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting the asphalt paving crew with the setup, operation and maintenance of asphalt paving equipment
• Ensuring the safe and efficient placement of asphalt material on project sites
• Performing manual labour tasks such as shovelling, raking and tamping asphalt
• Participating in the cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas
• Collaborating with the wider construction crew to deliver high-quality asphalt paving work
• Adhering to all relevant health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as an Asphalt Crew Member preferred but we are willing to provide training to the right candidate
• Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of asphalt paving equipment
• Strong physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation (HR would be desirable)
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
• Must be 18 years in age or older
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary
