Asphalt Plant Operator

Reporting to our Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing all required works safely and efficiently to achieve the best outcome.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide effective day to day operation of Asphalt plant

  • Ensure work is conducted within industry/legislative standards such as NHVR / COR and the Austek IMS

  • Pre-Start Checks 

  • Promote and perform the reporting of near misses, hazards and incidents

  • Toolbox meetings, inspections and the identification, assessment and control of risks
  • Ensuring regional conformance to client and specification requirements for the production of asphalt

  • Liaise with the plant maintenance team to ensure preventative maintenance occurs in a timely manner and causing minimal disruption to internal and external clients  

 ABOUT YOU

  • Construction Card and a Valid driver’s licence (MR truck licence will be an advantage)

  • Forklift, confined space and working at heights tickets (preferred)

  • FEL Operation

  • Certificate 4 or higher in Manufacturing of Mineral Products or Similar discipline (desirable)

  • Confined Space entry (desirable)

  • Experience in asphalt manufacturing or similar environment (desirable)
